These DIY oil pulling tablets are super easy to make, effective, and all natural! The clove and peppermint add antibacterial properties and add a fresh minty flavour.
Ingredients
Units Scale
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon clove
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon chunks
- 1 tablespoon peppermint
- 2–5 drops essential oil (optional! I like using peppermint)
- Silicone mold
Instructions
- Add the cloves, cinnamon chunks, peppermint and coconut oil into a glass jar.
- Simmer on low in a double broiler for a 1-2 hours. Stir every now and then.
- Strain out the herbs into a clean glass jar or bowl.
- If adding essential oils, add in your drops to the melted coconut oil.
- While the coconut oil is still melted, pour into a silicone mold. I like to wait about 10 minutes to allow the mixture to cool slightly, so it’s not super hot.
- Put in the freezer for an hour. Once solid, pop them out into a glass jar or storage container and keep in the fridge.
